Learning to live well with Parkinson's

The management of Parkinson's disease symptoms can be complicated and overwhelming. Often people aren't aware of the body systems that are compromised or the dysfunction that can occur as a result. The Midwest Parkinson's Initiative has started a new educational opportunity for those with Parkinson's disease, as well as their caregivers. "PD monthlies" are hour long classes offered on the first Tuesday of every month through April of 2017. Each month focuses on a new topic, as it relates to Parkinson's disease. These classes are offered free to the community and are a way to network with others that are effected by Parkinson's disease, as well as to have your individual questions answered. The first session was in May and we had wonderful feedback about the usefulness of content spoken about. Our June session was on tremor control and we tripled the attendance of the May class, which was wonderful! We invite you to call Edgewood Vista to register for upcoming classes- all are welcome and remember that attendance is free! Looking forward to seeing you all there!
