Happy National Parkinson's Disease Awareness Month!

This month in particular, I am reminded of the amazing people that I have gotten to know by working with Parkinson's disease. I would really like to take this opportunity to thank all of the members of the Midwest Parkinson's initiative board of directors, as well as those involved in HeartSprings and the Marv Bossart Foundation for Parkinson's Support. Without their hard work, dedication, and effort, it would not be possible to support the Parkinson's disease Community the way that we have. We are all very much looking forward to participating in the 2016 Community Parkinson's symposium on Wednesday April 20th, 2016 from 10 am to 3:30 pm at the Ramada Plaza Fargo. Over the last several years, this event has grown and blossomed into such a wonderful networking event for those affected by the disease - - patients, caregivers and medical providers alike. People come from all over the tri-state to experience this symposium and we are all honored to be involved in this event. But, most of all, thanks goes to those directly affected by Parkinson’s disease - - for the desire to learn, the effort to fight this disease and the support for one another. You are the reason that we do what we do and our mission is to help make it easier for you to continue to do so. We are hoping to see you at the Symposium on the 20th. Meeting others and sharing your stories and struggles is one of the best ways to cope with this disease. Also, keep an eye out for the start of the “PD monthly” sessions that will start in May - - join us to learn about a different topic and how it relates to Parkinson’s disease each month. Educating yourself and others is another great way to ensure that you are focused on the best means for treatment and management of the disease.
